FILE TRANSFER PROTOCOL (FTP)

You can transfer your artwork to Imprint using
any of the methods outlined below. Please take a moment to read the directions, and follow them as closely as you can. Not following these instructions can cause delays in your order.

IMPORTANT!! READ THIS!! TAKE HEED!!

Please put all of your files in one stuffit or zip archive. Name your archive your order number. For example, if your order number is 3423, name your file "3423.zip"... Don't name the archive the band name, the record label name, the release number, your nephew's name, your cousin's husband's sister's name, your first pet's name...

Name the archive the order number ONLY! I can't stress this enough. Don't name it "ordernumberBANDNAME.ZIP" or "ordernumberBOOKLET.zip"... It's very simple, and less typing than those other options. Order number only!! In a zip or Stuffit archive. Please...

Have you filled out an order form yet? If not, please go here and do so. You will need the order number assigned to your order to upload your file. DO NOT UPLOAD ARTWORK WITHOUT AN ORDER NUMBER!

Once you've filled out the order form, and have your order number, name your file "1311.sit" or "1987.zip" (without the quotes and using your order #) and use one of the methods outlined below to upload your file to us.

FILE CHECK LIST:
** DO NOT UPLOAD ARTWORK WITHOUT AN ORDER NUMBER! **
Please include all of the following with your order:

1.
All fonts. Mac fonts only. Windows fonts must be outlined. PostScript or TrueType, although TrueType fonts can be problematic when outputting, so consider yourself warned. PostScript fonts should include a suitcase/screen file with separate printer file for each weight (bold, italic, etc.). We do not accept Windows fonts, if you are using a Windows computer, please outline your fonts or contact Brad for other solutions.
2.
All linked or embedded images. This means any image file that is used in your artwork... Any.
3.
Layout files. We accept InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Quark (last resort) documents. InDesign is preferred for layout.
4. DO NOT UPLOAD ARTWORK WITHOUT AN ORDER NUMBER! Artwork uploaded without an order number will be deleted!

Save all of these items into unique folders (one folder for fonts, one for images, one for layouts), then put all those items into ONE FOLDER. Name that folder your order number, then compress it with Stuffit or something similar... then you're good to go!

If you have any questions about this, email brad@iloveimprint.com and he'll tell you what's what.

UPLOAD OPTION #1: Upload via our website...
** DO NOT UPLOAD ARTWORK WITHOUT AN ORDER NUMBER!
**

Three easy steps for you to upload your files:

  1. Click the browse/choose your file button and navigate to the stuffit or zip file located on your hard drive.
  2. Click on your stuffit or zip file then click open/choose.
  3. Click the upload button.
  4. DO NOT UPLOAD ARTWORK WITHOUT AN ORDER NUMBER!

When your file has been successfully uploaded to our server your web browser will be directed to a "File Uploaded Successfully!" page. If your browser is not directed to this page, your file has not been uploaded to our server, so either try again, or use another method of getting your file to us (see below).
File to upload:

UPLOAD OPTION #2: Upload directly to our FTP server...
** DO NOT UPLOAD ARTWORK WITHOUT AN ORDER NUMBER! **

To receive the information required to connect to our FTP server, please enter your email address below (the information will be emailed to you immediately). This is for security purposes, and really is not that big of a deal. It only takes a second. :-)

All you need to connect to our FTP server is an FTP client application. Here are some examples of popular FTP apps:

Click here for Mac OS X FTP apps. (Transmit recommended.)
Click here for Mac Classic FTP apps. (Transmit recommended.)
Click here for Windows FTP apps. (CuteFTP or SmartFTP recommended.)

All files uploaded to our FTP must be archived, meaning they must be compressed using Stuffit or some other file compression utility. Failure to do this will result in deletion of your files.

Please do not create folders on our FTP server, just upload your compressed file to the root directory upon connecting to the server. Creating folders will cause your files to be DELETED. Please do not create folders. Thank you.

Also, be sure to name your file according to the order number assigned to your order (you did submit an order form, right?). If you have any more questions about FTP or file compression utilities, send them to
brad@iloveimprint.com, or search the internet... it's like having a library in your own home!

UPLOAD OPTION #3: Upload to your own web space, and we'll download it...
** DO NOT UPLOAD ARTWORK WITHOUT AN ORDER NUMBER! **

If you have web space of your own (and let's be honest, who doesn't? It's the 21st century), you can upload your file(s) there and email Brad with information as to where he can download it/them. He'll download it/them asap 'cause he's cool like that.

UPLOAD OPTION #4: Save your artwork onto a CD or DVD and send it to us...
** DO NOT MAIL YOUR ARTWORK TO US WITHOUT AN ORDER NUMBER! **

You can always save all of your files on a CD or DVD and mail it to us... Our mailing address is 3449 Technology Dr., Suite 212, North Venice, FL 34275. Be sure to include your order number somewhere with the disc (preferably written directly on the disc).

With all of those options outlined above, there's no good reason why you can't get your artwork to us in a way that makes everyone happy... and that's what we like to do, make everyone happy.
